Save Internet Music Resources For Music Students…

Both James Frankel and I have blogged about our concern over the potential loss of internet music streaming due to recent changes in royalty rates as determined by the copyright royalty board. The board recently denied webcasters a rehearing and the new rates and possible demise of internet streaming resources will happen 20 days from now unless congress intervenes. Take a look at savenetradio.org   for more information and consider signing a petition either as a listener/webcaster or as a musician to urge congress to reconsider these royalty changes and to support the ability for online radio streaming sites to continue offering a valuable resource to our society.

  1. Maybe you can help. I was sitting on my balcony and it was a bit windy. The wind whistled through the trees and buildings producing a low pitched undulating melody with a beautiful counterpoint from the rush of the trees. The rope on the flagpole produced a complimentary rhythm.

I didn’t get the name of the composer, but the music was beautiful, but I don’t know who to send the royalties to or how to get the performance rights. I think this performance was illegal.

    Maybe you can help.
