Location
The grass with concrete circles and concrete area by the glass wall and small cactus garden at the South side of the MAC campus.
Setup & Available resources
- We will have a chair located on both sides of the area where the musical garden will take place
- We will have a number of small classroom percussion instruments
- We will have some small barred classroom instruments in the concrete area
- Make sure young people are accompanied by an adult
- We will need to move percussion equipment back and forth between drum village and musical garden to share resources
- Encourage people to visit the STEAM Space and Make Mobile Music area

Musical Garden Engagements:
- “Seven Jumps” – folk dance, movement creating (Austin)
- “5 Li’l Bearz” – fingerplay chant, hip-hop beat, movement & rhythm improv (Mallory)
- “Go Down Emmanuel Road” – stone passing game/song, rhythm improv with rocks (Mallory)
- “Throw, Catch” – dance/movement song, creating movement, creating instrumental intro/interlude (Austin)
- “Oh Suzie-Anna” – singing, hand clapping game, creating our own story (Mallory)
- Llama-Llama Red Pajama – picture book with hip-hop beat (Mallory)
- Rumble in the Jungle – story, movement, sound carpet with instruments (Austin)
