You’re In!
Welcome to the community of folks imagining possibilities.
First, thank you. By opting in, you’ve just become part of a journey I’m really excited about: a group of people helping shape a book that I hope will make real difference for music teachers, students, and communities.
Most books get written quietly and you only get to see the final product. This project is different. You’ll have opportunities to see the thinking as it forms, read drafts while they’re still messy, and provide your perspectives and feedback to inform the final version.
What this means for you:
- A look behind the scenes at the writing and thinking as it happens—including the unpolished, in-progress parts that usually stay hidden.
- A voice in the work. Your perspectives, questions, and feedback can genuinely influence the book.
- A place in a smaller community of people who care about this work as much as you do.
What happens now?
You don’t need to do anything. From here, I’ll send occasional updates and invitations specific to the book—chances to read drafts, weigh in, or just follow along.
And remember: there’s no commitment. You can observe quietly or jump in whenever something sparks your interest. It’s entirely up to you.
One small thing, if you’re up for it. . .
I’d love to know who’s joining me. Hit reply to the email that brought you here and tell me: What’s one thing you’re hoping this book will help you or other music educators figure out about curriculum?
Your answer helps me make this genuinely useful—and it’s a great way to start the conversation.
I’m so glad you’re here.
Best,
Evan
P.S. You’ll still see book updates in the regular newsletter, but this smaller community is where the real behind-the-scenes work happens.
