What is this for?

What should I do?

Are these resources and chapters public?

How do I review the chapters and resources?

What should I include in my comments and feedback? (AKA Review Guidelines)

Here are some things that I would appreciate your feedback on that would be really helpful:

  • Clarity
    • What ideas or concepts are confusing or need better or different explanation?
    • What suggestions do you have for making these ideas or concepts easier to understand?
  • Context and real world examples
    • What types of real world contexts or examples should I include or address when discussing a particular concept or idea?
    • When does something feel inaccurate or less “realistic” and what would help make it more convincing or seem more possible?
  • Points of friction
    • What rubs you the wrong way and why?
    • What do you disagree with and why?
  • Resonance
    • What resonates with you and why?
    • What makes you more curious, interested, or excited and why?
  • Tone
    • How does the tone of the writing feel?
    • When is the tone too jargony or academic?
    • When is the tone too pandering, weird sounding, or off putting?
  • What are you thinking?
    • What are you thinking about when you read certain passages?
    • What would you say to a colleague about certain passages?
    • What is new to you and what might you do with it?
  • General feedback and requests
    • What are your general perspectives on what you read?
    • What stood out in the chapters?
    • What else would you like to see included or addressed?
    • What would make this an amazing resource to you and other music educators?
